Spanish artist Jaume Plensa's 2007 work "The Heart of Trees" includes six seated self-portraits inscribed with names of composers such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Béla Bartók and George Gershwin. Each life-size bronze figure grasps a living tree that has been planted on the front lawn of the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University. The installation will be on view through spring 2011. The installation is supported by the Crown family.
