  • @LukeSniper Ive got allsorts, Bowie, Pink floyd, Stones and a lot of 80's new wave-punk uk punk ETC, Ive got "white lines" by Grand master flash 12" and my best find was a load of New order 12" s.

Good find that Specials 12" its the best version i think.

  • @stesdad got any other classic stuff? I've got the 12" version of Ghost Town... probably one of my favorite items in my collection

  • @LukeSniper Shame you dont live nearby i would invite you round to listen to my copy :-)

  • @stesdad well it gets better closer to the center of the record, which is common with these sort of problems, and while I'd expect the PSP microphone to phase, I don't see how it could cause this pitch waver... but whatever, I don't care enough to argue about it.

I'm just annoyed that I had to stick all my records in storage and I can't just pull out my copy and listen.

  • @LukeSniper The video was recorded using my PSP Camera "Hence crap sound quality". I play my Vinyl on a Technics turntable > Teac amp > Technics speakers and the sound quality is perfect.

You see some music videos on here and the sound quality might be shite yes, but hey! at least you find the song was looking for.

  • @stesdad because I can hear the pitch waver up and down! It's right there for all to hear! I know what it sounds like when the turntable speed is inconsistent, and it sounds like that!

Just trying to help you out man. I'm sure you don't actually want a subpar listening experience, and that turntable could sound better.

  • @LukeSniper How you can tell theres a problem with my turnable from a grainy video is beyond me, but thanks for your lesson :-)

  • @stesdad I don't know what a movie studio has to do with anything... all I said is that your turntable has some problems playing at a consistent speed. I don't know why you'd get all butt hurt about it. Just get the thing tuned up. Stick a new belt in there. Clean and lube the gears. Balance the tonearm. You know... basic turntable maintenance.

Don't just ignore that stuff as being "the way vinyl sounds". That's just ignorant and offensive to vinyl.

  • Hi @LukeSniper Nothing wrong with my turntable, sorry it ruined your listening experience, but I dont have access to "UNIVERSAL STUDIOS" to make my videos!!!

  • Yuck! You need to get that turntable tuned up. The speed is so inconsistent, it ruins my enjoyment of such a great song.
