You're an excellent rider! I love you you rewarded her even if she took a few steps. That's the way to get them going! I have a shire, and it's always great when they're enthusiastic about cantering! Drafts are so smooth and have such nice, long strides when they canter. Anyway, good job with her! It looks wonderful!

Just wondering if that was the first time bridless, or the first time under saddle? or both?
Nice collection, though that person is right, she's waiting for the clock and reward from you. Cute mare.

I think you are working sooo beautiful with her! Every time it is a joy to see you and her and it really touches me. The relaxed way in which you work together, the time you take to let her develope herself, how you can laugh when she shows something funny or great, the space you give her to be herself... I really love what I see. Thank you for sharing so much.
are you doing this all with leg pressure

@bumblingdreams Hello! No, no legs/seat yet? I taught her to ride using a target stick which is now just a dressage whip. If you look closely you can see how I use it out front to cue her into a canter. I also use a verbal Up Up! Someday i will ad the seat/legs cues LOL! In this clip she just started to offer canter, her idea, as we had been doing a lot of groundwork with mimicking canter, so that was cool!

I'll never get tired of watching these videos, especially when I start to lose faith in the horse world... you say 'no pressure' and it's actually true... just beautiful!!
