At the Cubs at Cardinals game on 7/04/08. As a special thing, the Cardinals put up the video from when Jack Buck sang the 7th inning stretch in Wrigley Field. Jack passed away in 2002 so this was a really special thing. Jack mentions that the Cubs Cardinals rivalry is the best in baseball. I'm not sure if this song has ever been sung by an away team that plays the Cubs but as a long time Cubs fan at my first game in the new Busch stadium, hearing this song was like I was home again. Good times.

  • I attended my first game at the new Busch Stadium on 7/6/2008. I wondered if the video of Jack singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" was shot at Wrigley Field. You did not capture the first moments of the video replay, when Jack puts on some thick, black-rimmed glasses and yells "Holy cow" to a cheering audience. The crowd, Cub and Redbird fan alike, this past Sunday was just as appreciative. (And as a Cardinal fan, may I say the Cubbies in attendance were very well behaved.)

  • Poor Cub fans; it will take you 500 years to have as many World Series rings as the Cardinals.
