This video is up purely for an example of why the Match Review Panel is a joke. Nobody with half a brain thinks this is report worthy. Jack Trengove was suspended for three matches with after twice failing in appealing his suspension.

From a Collingwood supporter - what a farcical decision all the way down the chain. I think between the two hearings the decisions were reached in less than 10 minutes total. If this was a Collingwood player getting done for THREE WEEKS?!? then Eddie would probably go to the courts. There are men in suits who are ruining this great game, from the umpiring and rule/"interpretation" changes, through to this soft bleating about protecting a players head. See Joel "Sell My Soul" Selwood for example.

What is this? This is blasphemy. I remember watching footage of Football players such as John Warsfold, tackling players twice as hard and gruesome as this in their day. Australian Football Rules is became a joke.. His two week suspension only emphasizes my point more..

that was a beautiful tackel im a crows supporter and this is why i love footy if u take tackels like that out the game..... the games already gone a shit load softer from what i remember in the 90's

Can someone tell me why he didn't get charged with the second effort tackle a few seconds later. Don't see much difference other than the player got up... (richmond supporter)

@bennfrail Jack used this as evidence in his appeal, saying that the next tackle moments later showed that there was no harm done. Total nonsense. From all reports too, he was very impressive on the stand.
