Hi! I'm planning a tour of Egypt through Contiki for Nov. 2011. Looks like you were able to see and do a lot on your tour. Were you able to also see Temple Philae and Temple of Queen Hatsheput? Did you see Coptic Cairo and Islamic Cairo on your own or was that part of the tour? Did you spend enough time at each attraction?

Medtano, I feel the only I could have had that much in Egypt was through Contiki. I got to Egypt a day early and paid more money and saw the War Paranoma, Coptic Cairo and Islamic Cairo on my own. Contiki takes you to the Citadel. I also did Alexandria on my own. Those two temples Contiki does not take you to. I paid to go to Alexandria from the hotel I was out. I hope I answered all of your questions.

@rvenezia THANK YOU! I'm also planning on going a day earlier as there are places I'd love to see (like Coptic and Islamic Cairo). Still shopping for tours but leaning towards this one as my friend and I are women traveling alone and it will probably be better for us. Thank you again for responding :D
