I think they stopped using real chimps in favour of the 'Monkey' puppet we have now because of the massive outcry against using animals for acting purposes. A lot of animals used in films and such are trained cruelly and kept in appalling conditions. Besides this, the chimps complained about having to be cockney. They said it was beneath them. Prima donnas.

these adverts were Banned cause the pc tips brigage said the monkeys and their owners found their cockney accent offensive and didnt reflect our diverse multicultural society sounds like something harriet harman would make up
