glider pilots are very exsposed in there large open cockpits, they always fly in the nude .well maybe a hat.

Maybe your negativity has more to do with it? Great video!
-
that vario sound kills the concept,
what about keeping an eye on the vsi and feeling the g?
-
do you like flying in the nude?

The vario audio gives feedback without having to look at the instruments. That allows you to keep your eyes outside of the cockpit rather than stare at the gauges, which is a safety factor.

You made a "flyby" on a taxiway! Haha, best! By the way, why is there such a noise? I am a cessna pilot, but I thought a glider would be quiet inside?

@louwhopley I had a vent open in the canopy, and what you hear is the air coming in at about 150mph. Unfortunately, it was blowing on the camera too. It's not really loud, as you can hear the variometer and radio over the noise. The taxiway was clear, didn't take me over anyone, and put me in position for an easy base/final leg!

Cool.
hello,
I' am paraglider pilot and would like to use a PNA (automotive gps) with a flight schedule or the type LK 8000 SEE YOU MOBILE. Just do not know that the best use of PNA. It has to be anti-reflection, have a good battery, good processor, a good display and especially not be very expensive.
Can u give me a hint?
thanks

@willparapa10 A good purpose built PDA for soaring is the Oudie with SeeYouMobile from Naviter. Completely self contained (gps, battery, fully configurable, etc.).
