Faith In America's Creech says sodomy is gift from God

"Faith In America" made its first of five campaign stops in Ames, Iowa. Headed up by Pastor Jimmy Creech and funded by millionaire Mitchell Gold, the campaigns purpose is to convince the "fair-minded American people" that unless you agree with their interpretation of scripture, you are a bigot. What might that interpretation be? Sodomy is not a sin and is actually a blessing from God. This clip is of the final minutes of the "Town Meeting". More of the meeting will post in the future. A person who comes to faith in Christ has been made very aware of the sinfulness of their sin and will repent (agree with God that it is sin) and will truly desire to stop sinning. As long as someone is enjoying their sinning no matter what that sin is, they will justify it...but God won't. Please don't be fooled by someone of "the cloth" such as Jimmy Creech who would lead you to believe that homosexuality is not a sin.

God sent His only Son to die for our sins and to have the attitude that it's ok to go ahead and sin because our sins are forgiven makes a mockery of Christ's atonement on the cross and I would have to say that a person with that attitude is not a Christian.

Your sins are forgiven if you ask for them to be forgiven and only if you become born again. The only way to become born again is to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and His righteousness, admit you are a sinner in need of His grace and mercy and He will give you His Holy Spirit.

You are right...sodomy it is a sin...and it's so nice to hear someone making a post on this site willing to acknowledge that! Thank you! There are many different kinds of sin and everyone one of us are guilty of committing lots of sins. The danger is saying "sins are forgiven so go ahead and sin!"

God does love everyone but God doesn't love our sin! He hates it so much and loves us so much He sent His Son to die for us so that we can be freed from sin! That's the Good News! Not so that we can justify our sinful behavior! I have friends that are homosexual. They know what I believe and I'm obviously aware of their homosexuality but I still care about them and they know that. It's a sin that they are struggling with. We all struggle with sin...we just don't want to practice or justify it.

He thinks he is clever but God will not be mocked. My biggest concern is that a minister would use his position to encourage people to live a deadly, risky lifestyle. Homosexuality will continue to be an abomination to God in spite of Mr Creech's comments and someday he will have to answer to a holy god. Please, don't listen to this man. What he says are lies and he will lead as many astray as he can.

Jimmy Creech is a man of God who seeks to lead others to God. His desire is not to cram homosexuality down the public's collective throat, only to establish the message that God loves everyone--gay, bisexual, transgendered, straight--everyone. Rev.
