You know, the Ogre would have been good to have; but as it would turn out, the Mage Masher ended up being very valuable to you facing the big catch.
It ended up wasting plenty of turns trying to cast spells; which now only would have hurt; it would have taken up precious times doing the animations of the spells.
Unfortunate you ran out of time -- it was very nearly dead, but it's alright; an Add-On is better than the 5000 gil Simon would have won.

The status effect is silence and prevents spellcasting.
Also, if it's tradition people won't care if it's stupid, they'll do it anyway.

Calm down Split. Cheyane (Freya) is a dragoon knight. They're main specialty is Jump. In some FF games they're best at facing Dragons. =)

Hah! Yeah Freya (Cheyanne) is probably my favourite playable character in the game. She rocks UNBELIEVABLE socks. Seriously she's crazy. And yes she is an anthropomorphic rat.
