This shows you how to use keyboard shortcuts adjust the volume and toggle mute with a simple, three line AutoHotkey script.

  • IT WORKS!!! :D but 1 question, how do you get it to show you how much high or low the volume is? Like at 1:20 and sorry for my bad english

  • @brutaka359 It's the Microsoft Intellitype software that's doing it. I've looked around a little but didn't find other software to do it, but I'm sure it's out there.

  • Try ^!h::Send {volume_mute} instead. Alt-H is going to conflict with internal application shortcuts.

  • my screen goes up and down

  • @dhrumilable Try using another shortcut

  • thank you very much, saved me hours

  • @MattheWisniewski No problem :)

  • Thanks for this, very useful.

  • whenever i start my pc i have to adjust wave and its really tough

  • Call me stupid, but I can't get this to work in W7 (Creative X-Fi soundcard)

    Using a simple script like the one below achieves nothing:

    !h::Send {volume_mute}
