Brent Dail "The Original" Instructional Video Wrestling Throws (Shows Basic Wrestling throws in Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco-Roman, Pro Wrestling, and Mixed Martial Arts)
karate is ancient but wrestling is aot older than any martial arts mate. Stop kidding yourself there are ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics of wrestlers wrestling which is the oldest of human civilization. Martial arts started thousands of years after it spread from india to China.
@rentocanese89 Karate was mainly from Okinawa, which came via China. It did not come to mainland Japan, where Judo had already existed for hundreds of years (since it came from jujitsu and was streamlined into Judo during the meiji restoration), until the 20th century. They may have influenced each other then, but it was relatively recent. Judo existed for many years before karate was introduced into mainland Japan.
And Karate did infact actually influence judo, karate is older than judo, and even then, straight taditional karate had minor throwing maneuvers and such similar to akido, such a wrist locks and stuff..
@rentocanese89 No. The greek form of wrestling dates 708 bc. Judo came from jujitsu, which was developed as early as the 12th century. Wrestling was around WAY before Judo. And what in the hell? Judo did not come from karate. They are not related.
hahaha yy? japanese empire goes back way before when greeks developed wrestling. "caucasian" wrestling derived from sumo which probably came around the same time as judo since judo is a branch of karate, and karate is ancient dude.
