The new series has been "Hollywoodised" too much with way too much swearing, sex and guns. It completely and utterly lacks the charm that made the 80's KR a hit .Michael Knight was the knight in shining armour, Justin Bruening is just a puppet nowhere near as charismatic as 'The Hoff'.
As for the Shelby, well, nice ride, but honestly, a 12V outlet (for the family DVD player no doubt) on the dash with only a crappy CG animation?? No, the Pontiac had much more of a sci-fi/techno feel to it.
Maybe Pontiac Didnt want the car to be used in the new series. Or maybe at the time the Mustang was the best choice the had. The New Camero would have been a better choice but I don't think they're in production yet.
The Knight Rider movie was ok, but like all the rest of the Fans of the 80's series..The new car sucks I hate it... not crazy about the voice for Kitt, which sounds robotic and lacks the personnality of the old Kitt voice...(William Daniels)..should have Voiced Kitt like he did in the Original series.
I may have to watch the old knight rider pilot to be sure but I think at First KITT Didn't have much of a personality but as the first season progressed KITT acquired more and more human attributes. Maybe we'll see the same in the new series.
The movie was amazing so is kilmer as the voice of kitt. The series is gonna get better now! plus WD is toooooo old to do the voice now he sounds nothing like he did in the 80's version anymore!
The pilot was better than I expected. But they totally fu**'d up KITT. I mean the Visual effects were really cool and so on. But a Ford? I mean really?! A Ford!??? It's a huge container on wheels. Don't get me wrong, I think Mustang is really cool car. But make KITT as a Mustang, come on. And the voice was just so...so...not KITT.
