The letters "L" and "R" can sound very similar to some non-native American English speakers. In this short video, I try to help by giving tips and words to practice with these sounds in it. I hope these tips help you to be better understood by Americans in daily life as well as understand others better.

  • nice video! How do you pronounce similar?

  • @777rosolo I see from your YouTube profile, you're from Guatemala. I am not familiar with your particular accent. I am happy to give advice. Can you record yourself audio and or video and I will listen carefully to how you say it and give tips. Also, if you can record yourself saying sounds in your language that are closest to the L R sounds in English, that helps. With video, If the video can show your facial movements it helps me more. Thanks Jennifer Kumar.

  • Thank you, norspice. I am happy to be helpful.

  • As English is not my first language. R and L always make me sick when I try to say the word.

I love the way you explaine, very clear for me.
