Previously- Demis grandparents are visiting and Demi and her grandmother automatically get off to the wrong start. Selena and Joe decide to ignore everything the grandmother is saying and be there for Demi.

*About an hour later, Demi, Selena, and Joe go down for dinner. Demis parents and grandparents are already sitting at the table and so is Emily. *

Grandma- so Emily...we missed you this afternoon. I was hoping you were coming to pick us up from the airport. We miss you so much back home.
E- aw, I miss you too Gram! I was with my boyfriend at his basketball game. It was the championships.
Grandma- you have a boyfriend now?
E- yes, well I was in love with Selenas boyfriend for a really long time (Selena glares at her and Emily shrugs) but Joe introduced me to Shane, who is the best guy in the whole world. No offense Selena. I still love Nick, but not like I love Shane.
S- you better not love my boyfriend
Grandma- hush girl!
S- (looks at Demis grandmother shocked)
E- I cant help it Sel, have you looked at Nick? HELLOOOGORGEOUS! You should see him Gram. Hes absolutely perfect, and he can sing, play the guitar, drums, and piano, he writes his own music, and he has his own diabetes foundation.
Grandma- omg this boy sounds wonderful, why dont you go out with him?
E- because he is in love with Selena, they are together.
Grandma- oh, nonsense. I dont believe he loves her. I mean who could?

*Just then theres a knock on the door and Ryan goes to get it. Demi and Joe both notice that Selena is near tears but also about to attack Demis grandmother. Ryan walks in with Nick who is holding Frankies hand and holding Elvis in his other arm.*

E-(looks at her Grandma) NICK!
N- (looks at Emily confused) oh hey Em! (to Sel) hello beautiful (kisses her)
S- hello
N- Im sorry to interrupt your family dinner, but my dog got kicked out of my house and I went to your house Sel but your mom told me you were here, so I stopped by and Frankie came along.
D- dont worry about it Nick! Join in on the fun. (sarcastic)
N- are you sure you dont mind?
Jen- of course not Nick! (pulls a chair up for him and Frankie) youre like family! Hey Frankie, Im Demis mom, Jen.
Frankie- I know! Demi looks a little bit like you but mostly like him (points to Ryan)
Ryan- thats cause Im her dad.
Frankie- makes sense now. Demis so pretty
D- aw thanks again Frankie
J- Frankie! What did I say? No flirting with my woman!
Frankie- oh thats right I forgot! Sorry Joe!
Grandma- the lack of manners in this household is disgusting.
D- almost like your face? (Demi smiles at her grandmother sweetly; Jens eyes widen, Selena and Joe smile, Nick looks at Frankie nervous, Ryan tries not to laugh as does Demis Grandfather)
Grandma- you little inconsiderate, disrespectful witch!
D- what about me? (challenging her)
Jen- Demi, enough!
Grandma- dont bother Jennifer. You lost control of her the minute you moved her. Now shes best friends with a snotty big mouth (Selena gasps), dating a guy who cant even speak for himself and has hair like a dog (Joe gets angry which is not like him), you let your ex husband move back in and take control of your life (now Ryan gets angry), and youre re-marrying the loser even after it failed the first time. You have the perfect life. Im so jealous.
Jen- (pushes her chair back angrily and points a finger in her mothers face) THAT IS IT! I have had it with you! You invite yourselves here to OUR home, insult my daughter, insult her best friend, insult her boyfriend, and then insult my husband. That is out of line.
Grandma- dont you dare speak to me that way
Jen- oh, Im done listening to you. My daughter showed me the truth this afternoon, by pointing out that all my life I have tiptoed around you so that you wouldnt be disappointed in me.
Grandma- too late for that
