Profile: Jasper Felder (SWE)
Jasper Felder is a legend of Red Bull Crashed Ice. Six-time Red Bull Crashed Ice Champion, undefeated between 2000 and 2005, most successful athlete in the history of the sport. Until just a few years ago Jaspers domination of Red Bull Crashed Ice was absolute
However, in 2006 Canadian local hero Gabriel Andre stormed down the course in Quebec City to become the first ever athlete to beat Felder in a Red Bull Crashed Ice event. Since then the Swedish-American dual citizen has only managed to win one Crashed Ice race, in Lausanne in 2009, as a new generation of skaters emerged onto the scene, led by a strong Finnish contingent.
When hes not raising hell in the ice canal, Jasper is a renowned player of bandy, a sport played predominantly in Scandinavia and North America and best described as field hockey on ice. Off the blades he keeps his competitive juices flowing by trying his hand at anything from snowboarding, skiing and mountain biking to BMX, surfing and socceryou name it, hes on it! Oh, and he also found time to win a gold medal with the Swedish National Inline Hockey Team at the 2002 World Championships in Germany.
