(ZZR 1100 C2) Whats that tapping noise.. is it from timing/cam chain or from valve(s) ?

ZZRs are very versatile and durable bikes. Can just recommend them to everyone. The bike has nothing to do with unskilled mechanics and the lack of maintenance. If you give her what she needs, she'll definitely make it up for you ! I also own a Kawasaki.. but a ZXR .. Never thought will love it that much.. but I do love it :D

its the camchain,replaced chain and tensioner on mine and that solved the problem.

I think your CAMshafts are not aligned properly +- 1 teeth from default settings.
Check that first.

I just replaced a piston and the timing is wrong on the cams and it makes that clicking noise... Let me know if you get it fixed!

what the fuck who did the work on it ? and did you get it fixed , im just rebuilding mine at the moment as its a bit sick
I dont know what it was.. but they did fix it the second time. They told there was no backlash to adjust the valves. I've driven some 20.ooo km since then and its still going strong,
