I remember Numan announcing his retirement in 1981, I had just bought my 4th Numan album. The double live album Living Ornaments featured the announcement and I didnt beleive him then. Beserker changed everything of course. it was his huge return after a few mediocre albums esp Warriors which is abysmal really. I didnt mind Dance as an album but it was quite dreary. Really I stuck with him with each album and it never phased me as i was very young and loved the synth Moog sound.
Gary Numan is a timeless creation, absolutely unique, original, a new fronteir never tread upon until he entered onto the musical world scene, and he did those things no one before him has ever even thought of doing before. He was a Legend from the very moment He entered onto the stage for the first time and he has remained original and unparalleled in his arena to this day. He never had to follow the rest of the crowd. He was and still is a new fronteirsman! That is absolutely amazing!mxxy
