  • probie was King of the Mountain longer than anyone , fought everyone , including every young lion looking to prove himself , and , don't forget,

he avenged every single loss he ever had in the rematch

he belongs in the HHOF, imo

  • @lakeerie90s you make a very good point, but I'll dispute with you that either Domi or Nilan ever really "peaked" lol. They were both experts at taking beatings more than giving them out. I wouldn't put either of their win percentages above 50% -- it's a certainty neither were upper echelon guys

  • @justice008a perhaps, but not all fighters "peak" at the same age. some fighters "peak" in the middle or even later in their careers like Mcsorley, Grimson, Brashear, Domi, Nilan. They take a lot of beatings in their first 2-3 years. However, others are at their primes early and kicking ass right from day 1 when they are around 20 or in their rookie year, like Wilson, Playfair, Sandy McCarthy, Laraque, Wendel Clark, John Kordic, Jim Kyte.

  • @lakeerie90s OK I guess I can just wipe Wilson's losses to Fotiu and Wensink off the history books then because he was 20?? That starts to make Wilson an even higher #1 than before because Plett and McClelland are the only losses in his career. McSorley already had hard battles with Gillies and Holmgren as well as Willi Plett before his fight with Wilson -- he knew what he was doing. I can't evaluate a fight between a coke addict and a steroid addict other than to say they were both cheaters

  • @justice008a Don't put mscorley in there, mscorley was a nothing fighter at the time of his fight vs wilson, was a much skinnier and weaker 190lb man at that time. mcsorley didn't become a top heavyweight until his edmonton era in 1986/1987/88 by which time he had bulked up to 225. Wilson fought mcsorley long before that time, while probert fought the prime mcsorley in 1988 and a still very tough mcsorley in 1994

  • nice to see nilan getting a beating, too bad it didn't happen often

  • @justice008a I don't have Probert blinders. I admitted that he lost numerous fights as he got older, and I really don't care what those losers think. I have seen the kinds of people that think Wendel Clark beat Bob Probert. Fat middle age losers who wear blue and white body paint to Leafs games, get drunk and then try to start fights in the parking lot with people wearing Detroit jerseys. If those retards think Probert lost to Curt Fraser in the NHL they are as nuts as you are.

  • @justice008a Really surprising that a bunch of fat losers that have probably never been in a fight in their lives are voting against the guy that made a career out of beating up on their favorite players. You see players that are usually the most popular also usually make the least popular lists too. Probert gets a lot of hate in Toronto for beating Wendel Clark and pretty much every tough guy the Leafs have ever had.

  • @SCROGY that's Fantastic -- it took Wilson less than 5 seconds to beat McSorley to the ice. Your comments do a better job of proving my point than whatever you're trying to argue. I'll give you a hint: go to dropyourgloves -- these are fights reviewed by a panel of people; winner is decided by poll, not any particular person. I do not vote on these fights; some I agree with and some I do not. Probert lost to ALL of those I said by these votes not mine alone. Lose your "Probert blinders"

  • @justice008a Except Probert didn't lose to those guys except in your bizzaro world. Hell, Probert was beating the crap out of McSorley so badly in their last marathon that he actually allowed McSorley BACK INTO the fight twice. Once when Marty's shirt came over his head and once when he dropped McSorley. He could have kept pounding Marty but he didn't. Marty knows he got two gifts from Bobby that night. That's the kind of fighter Bob was.

  • @SCROGY Again, your arguments make zero sense because -- as I've already showed you -- Wilson did better against the SAME guys Probert fought. Did better against McSorley, Nilan, Fraser, Gillies, Wendel Clark, etc., etc. and since Wilson was 7 years OLDER than Probert and Wilson didn't have any NHL fights against these guys when they were little kids -- ALL of these guys were younger, stronger, BETTER fighters (in your words) when Wilson fought against them than when Probert got around to it.
