White people in this country (of which I am one) have a long history of persecuting others (slavery, slaughter of native Americans, racial and religious prejudice, homophobia, ........). That's not to condemn all white people, BUT that is historical fact.

You must learn that evil pledges allegiance to no flag. It is omnipresent, lingering in the shadows of history's trophy case.

Zinn did not judge history based on the morals and intentions of every culture, but by their consequences.

Until you admit that no ideal is perfectly executed or maintained, you cannot begin the work of fixing its faults, however small they may be.
