People are not violent by nature. People are products of their environment.
You grew up in a world where greed and violence are supported and promoted by the people in charge.
Just because you never expirienced a alternative you cant say there is none.

People affect their environment by their deeds of good and evil both. Alternatives to a whole lot of people doing evil can be experienced to some extent but only in a pseudo alternative bubble of unreality. Even in such circumscribed bubbles the possibility of evil remains the condition of the good. There are really no alternative situations on earth. Nor is there any non mythological historical records proving there ever was any. What exactly would inform chaos to make the world better?

Anarchy certainly is not in the peace of mind most humans seek. Rather, it is the general chaos of an existentially deranged mind. To redefine the word anarchy is a simple-minded subterfuge of propagandistic self-delusion that does not change the biologically predatory fact of nature. That is the nature in which all forms of violence are rooted.

Anarchy is not anomie.

Learn about the spanish civil war 1936, where the, mostly in Catalonia, anarchy was put into practice and a way better society was born.

I personally recomend you to read "Homage to Catalonia" by George Orwell.

You should read Orwell's 1984. It is a dystopian novel about the totalitarian regime of the Party, an oligarchical collectivist society where life in the Oceanian province of Airstrip One is a world of perpetual war, pervasive government surveillance, public mind control, and the voiding of citizens' rights. It is like what you would need to enforce your worse (not better) society due to anarchy.

The only relation between communism which Orwell's 1984 is based on and moral capitalism, which it is not based on, is that where voluntarily accepted standards of morality found in the world's good religions are absent, capitalism can produce oppressive social conditions for many as does communism. Capitalism with religions moral standards, is however by far the best system. People prefer to live where they have reasonable chances of economic prosperity as the result of their own work.

Strategic bombing is absolutely awesome. I love to watch WW2 film of carpet-bombing missions, especially when they start targeting civilians. Thanks for the entertainment, Zinn, you bloodthirsty war dog.

Prevent wars if you can. Can you even prevent your own body from killing bacteria to not die? If most of the Germans were pacifists. If only more Muslims were not Islamists or would resist those who are. For there to not be wars, you would have to surrender to those who don't like your existence or want to dominate you and will do so if you do not effectively resist. The other option is to go die. The world has plenty of people that have no respect for or would murder pacifists.
