MPT Market Report - 25th February 2010 Daily forex market reports, available from the MyPrivateTradeTV YouTube Channel. www.myprivatetrade.com.

Yesterday the Euro traded around the 1.354 level, but has dropped further in early trading today, hitting 1.3451, just 7 pips off a new 9 month low. Keep an eye on that one today!
Sterling continued to lose ground to the Dollar yesterday, closing at 1.5413. It has fallen sharply in early trading today, currently trading at 1.5279.
Yesterday the Yen held its ground against the Dollar, trading around the 90.2 mark. In early trading it has made further ground, reaching 89.29.
Looking ahead, at 14.30, US durable goods figures are due to be released. This measures the cost of orders received by manufacturers of durable goods. A high figure can indicate positive sentiment in the US economy, and therefore may be bullish for the Dollar.
And in Japan at 00.30 CET tomorrow, Consumer Price Index figures are due to be announced. CPI is a measure of price movements in the retail value of selected goods or services. It is a good measure of purchasing trends and a high reading may be bullish for the Yen.
And finally at 00.50 CET, Japanese Retail Trade figures will be released. This is an important measure of consumer spending and confidence. A high reading may be bullish for the Yen.
