I sound like a right prig - the Irish harp was played resting on the left shoulder, not the right. Nonetheless this is very fine playing indeed.

It is indeed lovely playing, but a 'Celtic' harp is a misnomer; the Irish harp was considerably smaller and played with wire, bronze, even gold strings. The evolution of the Welsh harp is a story in itself.

Beautiful playing! It matches your harp. Is it a Heartland Dragonheart?

I think I have that version. That was super. I do too many mistakes to post mine.

It is a little tough for a beginner, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Once I develop some real chops, I'd like to do it again. With all that movement it is difficult to touch a vibrating string in motion just right so it doesn't buzz. This harp stuff is challenging!

Yes, it is, but you look lik you are on the right track, good luck to you! Who arranged that version of "Carolan's Fancy" ?

Its hard to say. It never sounds the same twice.
I first found it in a Sylvia Woods book, checked with an original facsimile from an old carolan anthology, then ended up taking some from each-with a little of my own improvised LH accompanyment. I've been away from the score for a while so I just sort of play it and whatever happens happens.
