stalin tried this in the 1930's...he wanted to collectivize the farms in order to sell Russian grain globally...the private citizens did not want to give up ownership of their private property...Stalin got his way...the grain went global to the tune of millions of russian farmers/families starving/killed/sent to gulags.

The wording of NAIS sure makes you wonder if they think otherwise. Stakeholder- instead of owner, and your animals are referred to as part of the national herd. The first time I read that it sent chills down my spine. For an excellent (and revealing) definition of "premise" I highly recommend everyone watch NAIS and the World Conservation Bank by TheSpartacat here on youtube. Finally I understand why they use the word 'premise'.
