i love marpessa! she was known more for being a runway model than an editorial model. she rocked it each time on the catwalk

Marpessa was one of the best of that decade, few today can compare to her. She reminds me of Dalma, who had one of the best walks ever. Though Marpessa is dutch her looks were so exotic for the time. Too bad the American magazines didn't give her much work.

One thing nice about female models during the MH's time was that they had their own distinction. You can tell them apart . You know if its Pat or Iman. Nowadays, they look all the same . . and robotic on the runway. (and their getting thinner)

It was like all the models had to step up their walk if she was in the show so they wouldn't look dead by comparison . Todays models could learn a lot from her.
