This interesting and historic house fills the senses with nostalgia. A Craig Myrtle tree grows in the side yard. The owner accomodates a wonderful time by his welcoming personality. I recommend staying in this historic house. The original owners died in 1928 by murder in the house. The website: http://www.hundleyhouse.net/

  • My favorite room for sleeping is the front east bedroom where Mr. Hundley was found after the double murder. I never have any trouble sleeping there so I think all the stories of hauntings are just that, stories. It makes for good publicity. I am friends with the owner, Dan Jones. This is my favorite place to stay in Carbondale.

  • I live in Carbondale and have been in the house a couple of times. It certainly gives off a creepy vibe.

  • they just did an article on the hauntings of the Hundley House. I guess it was all in the spirit of halloween. I read the article after watching Nightmare on Elm Sreet, so I am a little spooked. =0

  • That's a beautiful house! I always expected it would be creepy because of the stories I've heard. The only thing that seemed slightly creepy was the random canopic jars, but that was actually pretty cool!
