  • Nice Video, what's the name of the song?

  • @emeliequicker Newborn by Canadian Singer/Songwriter Anthony Burbidge

  • The music is much too loud. In addition, think about those who speak and understand english without problems but are not bilingual. Such a loud music makes it more difficult to hear you and understand you.

  • @mydomidom I have noted that music is not what many people want in the background. Thanks for pointing out or that not everyone's first language is English. I'm sure that can make it even more difficult.

  • im a person who loves your videos!

but i myself have a real big problem whith

the music! as a loved one of somebody who may have bpd.

that music doesent make me heal!

    my choice is Slayer!

  • @skooterbar Thanks, glad you like the videos. Yeah, I've had some interesting email comments about music. Wasn't sure if it would be a good idea or not. The trouble with adding music is that due to copyright laws it isn't ethical to use some of the great songs out there that would be more emotionally more relevant to people. Some people seem to post a lot of music they have no rights to and get a way with it. I don't believe it's ethical so I only use what is "podcast safe" and I pay for.

  • Thank you. What you say is reassuring and enlightening. I am a 43 yr old male who has been medicated for depression then paranoid schizophrenia when the truth (BPD) has finally and only recently come out. I was relieved and then terrified and after reading a great deal of your work and watching your posts am feeling far more hopeful of making a recovery and coming off these medications. Thank you again.

  • Great video! I love your unique, exploratory approach to BPD.

I'm struggling with not having a firm identity.... it's hard for me to describe myself, my character, personality. The best I can do is to say what I like and don't like. So, I define who I am through culture/surface stuff. Why do Borderlines lack a sense of self? I know you have an ebook about this topic, but do you talk about the Lost Self in any video?
