I would rather be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan with a waterpistol than dive into that vessel. Divers, you got some balls!

I couldn't imagine how scary it would be being there with all those corpses.

Sounded like saddam hussein in south park that voice with helium :p

Are Swedish divers not competent enough for this task?
-
Just curious....wouldn't it make sense for the divers to bring some body bags along with them to bag up any dead bodies that they happen to come across? Sure, they can't get them all, but for the relatives of the few victims that might be recovered, they could have had funerals and some "closure". Instead, the divers (apparently) swam past the bodies. This begs the question: why dive in the passenger compartments in the first place? There's no technical info. regarding the sinking to be gained?

That was very interesting.........wait for it.........."footage".
Seriously; the vitim at the end of the video had, obviously, been awaken very late in the sinking. He, or she had no time to even put socks, or shoes on. Soon after death, the body would bloat and float. That's why they're above the diver. Sad.

Looks like the video ends with a foot.

I have read through two inquiries on this accident (one by the multinational body designated to investigate the disaster and the other by the German shipyard company that build the ship). The passenger staying in Cabin 6129 escaped and survived (which is why the door was unlocked - he ran from the cabin when the ship listed). Unfortunately, the sediment visible when the door is opened probably is human flesh, as subsequent dives discovered two bodies immediately outside the door. Rest in peace.
Is the "donald duck" -voice from all the helium they have to inhale when diving that deep? Or is it modified?

@tyranssi144 It is helium and oxygen in the tanks.

@MLDJHF The diver had yellov gloves and it's between about 50-90 metres down under the water surface because the ship is resting on an underwater hill.

The sediment you see when the diver opens the door is pieces from decomposed bodies in the corridor, this diving was about two months after the disaster so the bodies had started to decompose. When the video goes blank he had his camera towards the bodies and with respect for the relatives they cut away that sequence when they released the video for the public.
