Front view from an eastbound J Train as it travels from 121st St to to Stuphin Blvd. This is where the J/Z services depart the old Jamaica El and dive into a deep bore tunnel that first runs parallel and then under the LIRR Main Line. The tunnel then joins the Queens Boulevard E service at a lower level. Also note the train of M7's on the LIRR main line and the work crew replacing the switched at the 121st St interlocking.

This video was taken from one of the last 5 remaining trainsets of R42 cars that just happened to be left in service outside of the normal peak periods. I apologize for the darkness in the tunnel segment as my camera does not re-adjust to changing lite in video mode.
