Looking like they're straight out of Star Wars, these Waxy Monkey Frogs at the Berkshire Museum dine on live crickets in their exhibit, "Frogs: A Chorus of Color" at the Berkshire Museum. Notice the use of their hands and their facial expression as they swallow their breakfast. Very entertaining characters!

  • @BullfrogFM i dont like them? if i didnt like them then i wouldnt of bought them. and dont talk to me all ignorant and shit of course i take care of them. and extremely well. i sold the whole clutch that they had when i bred them. i had about 150 frogs, only 9 of the tadpoles died (thats expected). i have 7 breeders right now but im contemplating doing it again. i was telling YOU that they dont move that much anyway, even at night and tong feeding a few crickets wont hurt anything.

  • Many Tree frogs are nocturnal. It is their nature to sleep during the day. As to them being boring, I'm sorry but they are what they are. They will be more active at night. Watch them with a flashlight. I have a deep love and appreciation for amphibians and the one thing that I have learned is that they are really not "pets" in the true sense. If you don't like the frogs give them to someone who would properly take care of them. Try an more active pair of amphibians like a fire belly toad.

  • @BullfrogFM i have a few and these guys RARELY move. there like living gargoyles. mine usually sit there until a cricket passes by then it chomps on it. at night it moves to the water bowl, then back up to the branches to sit perfectly still all day. boring, but there cool to hand feed sometimes. they eat ALOT.

  • 1:01 OM NOM NOM

  • Great video of this species. One question. Why are they being tong fed? All frogs are natural hunters and allowing them to hunt naturally gives them much needed exercise. All captive bred tree frogs need this as obesity can kill these animals prematurely. I have 22 amphibians and have learned this lesson the hard way. In fact most inactive tree frogs should be fed just once a week.

  • It looks like the same tour I just saw last week here in Ottawa Canada at The Museum Of Nature!!!!! Saw these guys for the first time and have cellphone pics!!!!!! They are in town for a few more months!!!! LUCKY YOU SAW THEM BEING HANDFED!!!!!Thanks for the upload.
