was an absolute horrible movie, but i must say when this song played at the end, it was sad, knowing the series were done, and to think jerry and jackie are gone now, goes with the song

On the end credits of the DVD I have of SatB3, and here, the song is mono. Does anybody know if this is how it is on the soundtrack?

Yes I love this tune, but it is truly a sad haunting song. What makes this so deep and emotional, is that it's really about our mortality and that we are all going to die one day. "Ticket for the Wind" (living life in the fast lane) will eventually be over when the end comes as in the lyrics "I'm (the grim reaper/death) behind you now and you can never win" (live forever) and your days are getting thin (life is soon coming to an end).
Sorry to be so depressing :(
Peace.

Awesome. Just when you think you can stump YouTube, it proves you wrong. Bravo

Today (Sep. 5) is Stewart's birthday.

@InfraredCentipede fucking wrong smokey and the bandit 3 is bad ass

this is the best of all the Smokey movies!
Even though Smokey and the Bandit part 3 was a terrible movie, this song always made me incredibly sad. It sort of brought closure to the trilogy, and it depressed me to know there weren't going to be any more.

@InfraredCentipede
Smokey and the Bandit 3 was also one of the final movies Jackie Gleason made before he died... making it all the more depressing, because the song makes you think of Gleason/Sheriff Justice...
