Oud-Fauk Al Nakhil & Al Uzobya,Alsiadi & A.P.
Alsiadi is an oud performer, music educator and conductor. He studied oud and Arabic music theory with Nadim Al Darwish, the son of Sheik Ali Al Darwish, for many years. He is a direct link to the musical legacy of the Sheik Ali Al Darwish family.
He has performed the oud in concert in many countries around the world.

Our project aims to gather the dispersed treasure of Middle Eastern music and make it available to musicians and music lovers everywhere. The project focuses on the collection and research of Aleppian songs and musical compositions, which bridges the diverse worlds of east and west.

  • I remember a time when my mother's house was teeming with my brothers' friends as they frolicked, ate, drank and just hung out while the music of this song blared to the heavens in the middle of this wonderful Americana!!!No better music to listen to & no place I'd rather be. Thank you for the precious memories. Please keep playing these tunes that return us to life's spring after the responsibilities of it took the "Noor" out of our eyes. Not complaining, just realistic!!!!

  • The song is "Fog Elna Khel" (We have a loved one up there).. a totally different meaning than Fog El Nakhel (On top of the palm tree) as posted by many. When spoken fast they sound the same but the latter doesn't make sense!

    Actually Fog el nakhel was composed by the Iraqi Jewish Al-Kuweity brothers (Salim & Daoud). Unfortunately, not many know this, or choose to forget this
