  • Man, I used to watch this when it was still originally on the air. Brings back fond nostalgic memories of me as a kid in the 1970s-early 80s, sitting in front of the living room 25 inch screen color tv (the only tv we had in the house, unlike today where people have practically a tv in each and every room) while eating bowl after bowl of my favorite breakfast cereals. The 1970s truly was the golden age of saturday morning cartoons.

  • Kids starve to death in African cartoons and Richie just cares about playing golf on a golden golf course...

:D Thx for upping! I remember how i watched this as a kid and dreamed about to become rich as richie. XD

  • @classicphile It was still on air in India 3 years ago.

  • You can find some of these cartoons on "The Richie Rich Scooby Doo Show Volume 1 (DVD)". It's selling for about $12 on Amazon.com. If enough people buy Volume 1, then Warner Bros might release the rest of the series on DVD.

  • its like the movie richie rich i love it!!!

  • This stupid cartoon made me look at my parents and think

"can't you guys work a little harder?"

  • @BishopS It's because they were on together back to back as a combo: Richie and Scooby (and i believe also Scrappy) Doo show. The guy who did voice of Freddie from Scooby Doo often was the voice-over for the intros for these on Sat. mornings :)

  • @jkloea if they're hungry ,"let them eat cake" Marie antoinette

  • @BishopS I TOTALLY AGREE. same exact tune

  • The part of that song that starts at around 0:07 reminds me of Scooby Doo's theme.

  • @GreatUnwashedMass :-) Actually we were very poor. The color tv was a wedding present (in 1967) to my parents from my fathers parents. My grandfather owned his own trucking company, so he could afford such a gift. My mother and Father split up in the mid 1970s. Mother got custody of us kids and the tv. Thank god for that color tv set. Being poor we couldnt afford much. But what was broadcast on tv was absolutely free. And in those days you really had a variety of good stuff to watch
