thought's on the takamine eg544 im looking at getting one

@transplant07 If had to do it all over again I'd stay away from the cedar top. When I played it at the guitar shop it sounded bright compared to a few other spruce tops in the same price range. Electronics work great, tuner is spot of with my korg pitchblack. battery life seems good. action on the the neck is great. Its body is thinner than most guitars in this range which i think it the reason why its not as "boomy" as the larger spruces. not a bad guitar, just not what I was looking for

@mudtang89 About the "boominess," you really think so? Most the other guitars I've played haven't come close to the bottom-end response of my eg544.

@lozoft9, When I play it through my Fender Acoustasonic the bottom end translates well but I think that's the amp talking. If played unplugged it seems to fall flat. As with anything you get what you pay for. I'm happy given the price I paid for it which I think was in the low $400's.

@Govikke, Thanks... can't say i've put a name to it... one of my originals and I made up lyrics & music as I went along.
