@COAnews old post I know but the correction must be made. The US is a Constitutional Republic. A democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on dinner, whereas a republic has the same dinner guests but the sheep has a gun....

I say implicate all the Democrats you can think of. It will make appointing a special prosecutor more politically palatable. The only way out of the darkness is a return to the rule of law.
-
Reagan and Clinton are both guilty of ordering renditions, it is true. However, it was George W. Bush who added the element of "torture" and escalated renditions far beyond anything previously done.
It's a shame, really - Presidents get impeached for lying about blowjobs, but apparently get away with rendition with ease.
-
CLINTON instituted 'extraordinary rendition,' NOT BUSH.

"All Christians are to blame for the millions killed by the Vatican"
What the hell are you talking about?
-
that's: I am against imperialism by force, and I'm against Imperialism by economics. I wasn't saying I'm forcefully against them. Though I would be if I was in direct oppression from them.
-
My position is anti-war, anti-imperialism whether by force or economics, and I'm against torture, because it's firstly immoral, and secondly, I'd tell someone I was the goddamn anti-Christ is they wanted me to if they were taking a scalpel to my schlong. So it's counter productive and immoral. The like shit comment was for the guy who said violence is nessecary. mmm shit was just silly comment with no meaning.
-
And all Christians are to blame for you idiotic comment. All Christians are to blame for the millions killed by the Vatican. If all Muslims did that we would have finished WW3 and be looking for WW4.

The government,
of the corporations,
by the corporations,
for the corporations.
-
I don't understand your position here.
do you believe that nothing like this could ever happen?
Or do you believe that its a big pile of steaming lies covered up by the government?
Do you think torture is needed? Not according to the CIA spokesmen.... but hey... he is just a spokesmen.
I love how the US is always in the spotlight and the media turns a blind eye to the ravages in third world countries. The human rights being violated there... but when they do something the whole world stops. But then again I guess people need something to blame for their problems, no matter how irrational it may be... and it goes both ways...

he he, I think other dictators are mentioned enough. The US torture is actually rarely mentioned at all in the media. And it's been going on for a very long time, and it's only come out lately because of how open they are being about it.

Also the US is supposed to be a democracy, and thus ruled by the people. If torture is going on then that means either the leaders are being despotic, or the citizens are responsible. Either way, it means people naturally get upset about it. Lets not look to others to justify what is going on in the US. It wrong and should be stopped, period.

Nice work, thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention. It's unfortunate that no one understands what these laws and policies mean.

yes it's too abstract for most people, or rather they refuse to think about it in practical terms.
