2009 Atlanta Giant RR Final. Courtesy of www.longpips.com. This was a hotly contested and well received tournament mainly because all participating players were rated under 2000. Nobody was unbeatable. Both, George Cooper and Guido Schnabel, are long pip rubber players. George played short pips on the BH and long pips on his FH, Guido had long pips on the BH. After nine hours of tournament activities and 10 straight matches to qualify for the final, both players used all remaining energy reserves.

Guido's style is fantastic but hats off to George for figuring out how to force errors from a very cool, careful OX LP player. Thanks to GS for the freeby lessons. Long Pip Players RULE!!!!

good match...I figured Guido Schnabel out...all he does is 3 different serves: side spin, top spin or backspin from the left corner. He tries to force you back using his serves. This gives him an easy smash to keep you back from the table until he wins the point. Like Greg Cooper did in the whole match, all you have to do is return with a push or topspin his serve which forces Guido back from the table :)

George, hope you get to see this comment someday. This is Larry from Oklahoma! We used to play back in the 70s. Glad to see you're still moving smooth and mixing the D and O. My play against your long pips back in the day has stood me well :) Good luck, and God Bless!
