@jsnhrv a lot of people have their cobbler put vibram half soles on boots like these for that reason. But keep in mind: The U.S. North was the industrial center of the world for 100 years. Those cole minors and factory workers were all walking around in the frozen winters wearing these boots before it was cheap enough to have rubber treads.

No cole mines just Iron mines.

These boots look great,but there are no treads on the sole.

These wouldn't be too good for walking down icy streets in the winter.

Still think Im gonna buy a pair though.
