Pela 6 liter oil extractor. This thing is awesome. I've used it for a couple of years to do my oil changes. You pump the plunger and the end you stick down your oil dipstick/ crankcase tube. It sucks up the engine oil without you having to drain the oil using the drain plug. I love this thing.

  • I fully understand the ease of use as well as keeping clean for this tool but is it any better for the vehicle? does this system suck out more gunk from your oil pan compared to a good old fashion oil change where you have to lift the car to get the job done

  • @aftoyboy I admit, at first I was skeptical on using this pump. I went ahead and got it after I heard that this is the method Mercedes Benz vehicles have their oil channges and that Mercedes Benz recommends it.

I did notice more gunk and sediment when using this thing. And also, you take out more oil from the crankcase by moving the tube and reach every corner. Its a heck of a timesaver and makes your oil changer much cleaner. This thing was $50.00 look for Pela 6000.

  • that would be a hell of a water bong

  • @stifler20092000 LOL! 1 LB capacity. ;)

  • Sucking out of the tube is not recommended for any other cars besides a luxury(Mercedes, BMW, etc) as it leaves a good portion in the oil pan. You have to get under the car for the filter anyway, so why be lazy and use this?

  • Also ideal if you over fill your motor, simply by measuring your car dip stick against the drain/suck tube ....... just try adding 6 ltrs to the pella, takes 5.5 ltrs to just under the spout :oD

  • Nice bit of kit, just bought 1, some one mentioned, can it get all the crud out of the sump, being a car dealership techy, look at your sump plug, there are some drain plugs out there that dont actually sit on the very bottom baseline, as long as the oil is nice an warm as directed by the instructions, then this should be ideal.

  • Helpful video. Don't forget though, you still need to change the oil filter, which usually means jacking up the car anyway! This still looks like it will take a lot of hassle out of oil changes. ie. no need to poor the old oil back into a spare bottle to take to the tip.

  • Pela pumps oil extractor are on the site vidangefacile.

You can find all the capacities : 2,5 liters, 4liters, 6 liters, 6,5 litres and even professionals pumps : 14 liters, great for boats !

  • You can find those pumps on the web site vidangefacile

  • I'm intrigued. You left a comment on one of my NBC Overnight videos I posted. Saw this thumbnail and thought, that would be awesome if that sucks oil out. Sure enough, it does! I'm going to keep an eye out for this. I don't normally change my oil because it's such a hassle but this just might get me back to doing it. Thanks for the video.

  • @albear972 Thank you for the reply, I'll keep doing my research and see what turns up, thank you again.
