Sharda ji gave me this rare song today for our common friend dr dua s and this is sung by sharda ji and mohd rafi ji in 1966 for street singer movie.Sharda ji is a good friend and she was introduced to bollywood by Raj Kapoor ji and then she sang lots of songs in shankar jaikishen direction.

Good to know that listeners have not forgotten Shardaji despite her absence from film music for decades. Jyotijwalaji, if you could share her Diwana songs like tumhari bhi jai jai, which are not available on the CD. And her first non film EP, particularly Chal mere Oonta. Music lovers will be indebted to you.

@jyotijwala Thanks for such a prompt response. I have been a great fan of Shardaji since I was in school in sixties. She had a very different voice much ahead of her time. And her compositions were also par excellence. Just listen to "Achchha hi hua dil toot gaya" or "Hum Bhanwar men Kinare Banaya Karen, Tum Kinaron Pe Toofan. Many of her songs have been lost. I hope they are not lost forever.
