  • `The snecks are in the crew room talking to the JENGO, who had just finished debreifing the SENGO who has just finished talking with the WOman. The Kite is US, needs a mod and a STI to get her servicable again. The lads had already been stood down and were down the bop at this time getting fucking shedded......somone will be getting fizzed in the morning for sure!

  • @8corporal ....yyyyeeeeEEEEESSSSS!

  • Plane made of wood, faces made of wood - and acting made of wood, unfortunately.

  • I say! Jolly good aerial footage of Dehavilland's finest creation ever to grace the skies.

If there was any acting in this film I cannot tell from these brief fragments. I would definitely give my vote to the Mosquito as Best Actor anyway.

Those wooden mannequins that are positioned next to the pilot do look remarkably like real dead people, though.

  • Cliff Robertson bought a mk 5 Spitfire while in England for this film and had it flown at airshows in America for many years He deserves a lot of praise for that at a time when not a lot of interest was being shown by the powers that be.

  • That is how people behaved then. Who cares though the Mosquito footage is worth it.

  • @asgrrr

IT's a damn sight better than Mosquito Squadron, which basically recycled the flying footage!

  • The training flights through the hills is in Wales. It is still used today for fast jets.Clips can be seen on you tube.It is a favourite haunt for photographers who get great shots as did this film crew in 1964.What a pity the wrecked three Mossies making this movie.Make you cry really.

  • Are these Mossies still flying? (flim planes) I remember this movie when I was so little. Would love to know.

  • @JasonJason210 ..no with three and one probable (2:02) LOL

  • Cliff Robertson as the twin engine qualified Cigar Store Indian.... and even better, English subtitles in a movie spoken in English!

  • Did they make this movie with just four aircraft?
