strafe jumping 101

Commodore's Strafe Jump Tutorial 101. Lots of new players in JK2 & JKA needed a helping and to learn how to strafe jump. A flaw in the engine allows for some speedy movement if done right. In the CTF community for Jedi Knight, strafe jumping is seen as a welcome tool that is exploited by simple mouse and keyboard movement that gratly enhances teh speed and skill level needed in-game.

I begged Commie to use his video making skills and ability for clear-minded instruction to make a tutorial. He did it well.

sad map, i always end up overjumping 2nd or 3rd pad with halfbeat, get a good map, such as racearena, and do : white pads

i was trained to strafejump doing this :

change direction with mouse and keyboard in the middle of the jump, at the higher point of the jump

you do that at the end of the jump, when u bounce

so whats the best of the 2 ?
