is that the waterfall known for its many suicides?

I'm not sure, I haven't heard of any. I know alot of the suicides occur with trains, in hopes that the body can't be recognized cause the family gets charged lots of money if they throw off the train schedule.

It is, but these people have issues with society and think that by jumping under a train is good way to get back at people, regardless how small-minded that might be seen by us. The money their families might have to pay doesn't enter into the equation at all.
