  • how do you get your guitar to sound like that. are those just brand new strings? or are you using an amp or plug in? YOU'RE FREAKING INCREDIBLE

  • thank you....th guitar is just plug into a tube pre amp and into a board

  • Excellent. what is the tuning with out capo?

  • its raised B

  • Dude, I know ur better than that...Don't give the haters even a second of ur time. We make fun of people for our own shortcomings. You're f@ing amazing.Has Dave contacted you ever, cause I swear he should...I've been playing a long time and I've never heard anyone touch u at covering DMB

  • thank you very much....I have had the honor to meet him a few times, but no he never contacted me from here....i won't mind if he did....lol

  • What make is that guitar I know its a Taylor. It looks just like daves!

  • @citrix99301 He plays a Taylor gs7 with no cut away that is set in raised B tuning........He has a Veillette Gryphon he has been playing a few tunes on the past few years, such as "Sister" and so on........ He has several 97 Taylor 914c guitars, 2 Taylor W65 Walnut 12-Strings one in DropD the other in Standard for Grey Street. Your covers a dead on my man very cool to see on youtube.

  • Awsome job!! I was Looking for a lesson on this song and found this and listened to the whole thing unlike all the rest

  • @SmithhausCraftworks raised B is still below E, so the thicker strings will offset the lost tension, keeping intonation correct, and improving bass response across the board. It helps a lot since you're playing without the taylor body sensors the baritone models use to enhance low end response. For anyone wondering, raised B is as follows, in order from low E (fattest string) to high e (thinnest of course). BEADF#E

and there you have the baritone guitar's concert pitch...

  • @citrix99301 That would be the Taylor 914C Baritone model, originally. It runs about 3 grand. Now there's a Dave Matthews custom version of it that adds inlays designed from daves artwork. There's even a crown on the 12th fret, missing a bead from its crown to pay tribute to LeRoi. Gone but never forgotten. they also added the nickname grux, also in memorium. and yes, it is tuned to raised B. thats the natural tuning for that guitar. on regular acoustic, move up to medium strings for richer lows

  • Great song, great version...you did an excellent job! And your guitars are so good...

I play this music too, but in the standard tuning, without a capo...and without your quality too...here is the link:

  • @TheEyedeaOfYou If I"m not mistaken he plays Stay or Leave and Oh on a short-scale Gibson that's build to raised b tuning.

  • i broke the repeat button.

  • i just wanted to let you know that i have been listening to your covers for over an hour over and over. i am a huge critic when it comes to dmb and i think you are amazing. i posted your crush cover to my facebook because it needs to be heard. you are beautiful

  • This makes me melt.
