actually in pakistan, i'm from there, they pronounce it pretty much like "ab - tah - bahd"

it's just like you prounounce it, but it's more slurred and pronounced faster. btw idk if you are making fun of the accent, but you did it very well lol

He is not pronouncing it incorrectly at all. In fact - Abbott was the name of the British dude after whom the place is named! Like Lawrencepur was names after a Lawrence. So really it is ABBOTT-ABAD- we Pakistanis just say it as Abtabad because its evolved on our tongues! This is hillarious! Absolutely hillarious and shows a sense of love for Pakistan
