  • I wish Micheal Beihn could have returned for Salvation.

  • Great job! I love it. The only thing missing was Kyle telling Sarah "... but there was one man, who taught us how to fight, to storm the wire and smash those metal muthafukkers into junk ..."

  • @EchoBoomer1987 The problem though is that in SALVATION Reese is just a teenager, and Beihn is too old now to play him.

I really like Michael Beihn and mean no insult to him. (If you haven't seen "Planet Terror" yet, DO IT NOW.) But he's just not the right age at this point to play a character who's in his late teens or early 20s.

  • @snake2006 Sigh... It's not "fucking stupid" - the logic simply went over your head. It apparently escaped you that I was using comedy, but fine, change it to 'Axis Invaderists' or whatever... The point remains that calling yourself after the very enemy your fighting makes no sense.

Even less so in this situation, since the Resistance has to use 'technology', too. Guns, computers... Even clothing is 'technology'.

  • @Xenomorphine

    1) James Cameron himself has confirmed the name as Tech Com, hence why he said it.

Also it is even mentioned in Salvation when one of the generals call Connor's unit the Tech Com unit.

And it makes sense since they are fighting machines. Your example is fucking stupid, Nazi Germanists, we weren't just fighting the Nazi's you know, but then you have no concept of history anyway.

  • @snake2006 Like I said, it's been retconned to mean that in 'Sarah Connor Chronicles' and possible 'Salvation, but in the original statement by Kyle, there's no indication 'Tech Com' means the name of the resistance or that he was personally a 'Tech Com'. As in, Combat Technician.

And no, it doesn't make much sense for them to call themselves that. By that logic, the allies in World War Two should've called themselves 'Nazi Germanists' - you don't call yourself after the enemy. :)

  • @Xenomorphine

Yes it is. That is the name of the Resistance is Tech Com.

And it makes sense since they are fighting MACHINES which is TECHNOLOGY.

  • @snake2006 Technically, it was never originally clear whether that was the name for the resistance or his personal role.

Always thought it was an odd choice of title for the resistance to name themselves.

  • Great VIDEO!!! Where did you get that version of the song? It's FANTASTIC!

  • It's TECH COM hero.

The resistance has a fucking name. It has always had one since the first movie.

  • @michaelforthriller

(....wait a second......i think i'm probably going to die in about 2 seconds....)
