Not all Piercing Studios use Dermal Punches and/or needles. If you are in the USA, the laws are different in the Piercing Industry for using a Dermal Punch, so it is unlikely you will be able to have it done by punch at your local Tattoo/Piercing Studio. Just ask your Piercer if they use both. A needle may sound scary, but it actually isn't as invasive as a dermal punch.

Where abouts do you live? There are similar items to a dermal punch, which is what was used here. Some countries do not allow the use of certain piercing devices.

I'm under 18 so I just can't go to the tattoo shops here where I live, they'd throw me out faster than yesterdays soup.. I've done dermal anchors on myself with a needle before. I didn't like it very much. It was just awkward for me I guess. I've looked all over google for something smilier to the instrument used in this video, but the only thing that keeps showing up is the punch where it carves the skin out into a circle..
