History of Final Fantasy - High Quality

Here is the history of Final Fantasy presented by SquareEnix from a DVD bonus disc included in the collector's edition of Final Fantasy XII. I saw this video last night on YouTube and thought it was pretty neat. The quality of the existing videos was kind of low not to mention they are several years old. I thought I would refresh this video in a higher quality from the original DVD source. Hope you enjoy!!

Thirteen games needed to be featured in a half-hour segment. They have no reason to give FF7 special treatment. And it's certainly not the "greatest game of all time"; that's just your opinion.

The narrator/writer also makes a huge mistake on "Cid"... the uninitiated would be forgiven for thinking he was the same person in each game. I really can't help feel this was such a wasted opportunity to give new fans the low-down on this huge series of games.

It might not be everyone's opinion, and I'm including myself in that, but it was undeniably a landmark point and deserves special attention in a documentary for that reason. If only for being the game that brought the series to the attention of the wider world. The narrator in this is awful, as his monotone drone doesn't help shine a spotlight on VII. I'm just glad someone uploaded this here, as it was the only thing making me hover around buying the collector's edition of XIII-2.

I'm pretty old school. So 4 and 6 always stuck in my mind. Yoshitaka Amano's art for those games were great too. I used to have Nintendo Power mags that had some of those paintings in it.

This is a video about the history of Final fantasy, not just 7. I personally liked 10 over 7. To be honest, I don't even know why some people kiss ass on 7 so much. It is a great game but you shouldn't say 9 sucks just because you want to suck Clouds dick.

The main character was emo, Sephiroth was super emo, and Kuja actually destroyed a planet.

I love the series but don't like it's fanbase in general, even with FF7's own (I love the game but the fandom kinda killed it for me)

@blitzvomitew16 slow down when you type. If you have not played ff9, let me save you the time, it sucks. Most of them do. The only ones that are really worth playing are 3=(6 jap) 7 and 10.

& FF7 is the ONLY FF game i beat and my 1st FF game BUT c'mon now amd i played it back in the 90's! i'm a true fan of the game unlike these new fanboy's/girls.

if they would had said "FF7 is the greatest FF game of all time & the greatest game of all time"...that would had completely made the other games look worthless when FF8, FF9 and FF10 was just as good! but you can;t see that with Cloud's dick in your mouth.
