  • wow, how lucky that the big truck was able to stop 50 meters from certain death. I wonder what he had in his tank?

  • how many minutes after the collapse was this? you can hear sirens in the back...but this is pretty early, yes?

  • oh gosh i remember that i live in minneapolis and 3 of my friend were on the bus that was on the bridge when it collapsed...scary stuff...

It was not the driver that "popped the back door".

There was a 16 year old on the bus with them that woke up just as the whole thing happened.

He woke up and rushed to the back to open the door.

He was the one that helped the kids get out.

It was all over the news.

I think the headline on one of the news sites was something like "16 year old hero".

I don't really remember that very well..

  • You're an ignorant POS to say that MFD are cowards. Have you ever rushed into a fire to save people? or jumped into water in January to practice ice water rescue? NO. I HAVE.. so before you post your comments, make sure you have all the facts. There comes a time in rescue operations where you have to judge losing your team or not-to MAYBE find a person. It's a difficult decision to make, or adhere to. No one wants to quit, but sometimes you have to, because it's too dangerous. Try learning.

  • not the driver...it was a 20 year old counselor. get the facts right before you post anything people. I'm from the Minneapolis are and we've been watching it all for two and a half days now. Just get the facts straight before you comment....it's just showing respect for those involved.
