Jones and Spencer made this recording for Edison Gold Moulded cylinder No. 9079 in May, 1905. The routine is about the Hippodrome which was located in New York City at 6th Ave. and 43rd street. It was torn down in 1939. The cylinder is being played on my circa-1908 Edison Standard Model D phonograph.

  • What an awesome audio flashback to what the world was at that time!

  • This is what the Dough Boys grew up with as music before the Great War

  • Awesome! It's like a window into the lives of those in our history and what they had for entertainment!
