FINALLY, a Fender Jazz player who feels he doesn't have to do all that slappin' B.S. in order to prove he's a good bassist.
Whatever happened to good old-fashioned fingerstyle and bass distortion? Everything is all about SLAP SLAP SLAP and LOTS of compression these days.

@behjoh I finally found it. It's called "Dreamin" by Earl Klugh and George Benson, one of my favorite of all time jazz guitarists. I actually think your band's version sounds better than the original! Especially your sexy funky bassline. ;)

I own Fender 62 Vintage jazz bass Reissue. Its serial is V189446. I couldnt find reliable data by serial number. Can somebody help me ?

Anyway, allthoug the reissue models are very nice instruments, there is no possible comparison to real vintage ones, due to noblesse of woods and care of manufaturing.
